DC864 will host a Capture the Flag (CTF) Event
The DEF CON 864 Meetup will bring a Cybersecurity Challenge to the Conference
DC864 will host a Jeopardy-style capture the flag (CTF) event for Carolina Code Conference. Participants are presented with a series of diverse security-related coding puzzles, challenges, and vulnerabilities to solve. Each challenge earns points or "flags" to demonstrate their proficiency in areas such as cryptography, web exploitation, reverse engineering, and more. A real-time scoreboard displays progress and makes the event exciting and competitive.
“One of the best things about the Carolina Code Conference is that it’s a big tent event. Cybersecurity is a critical knowledge area for people working in tech and I hope this CTF will cultivate more interest from our community,” said conference organizer Barry Jones. “We’re thrilled to have DC864 involved.”
To join the CTF competition, be sure to bring a laptop computer with Wi-Fi and virtual machine running Linux. The winner will receive a Flipper Zero with a WiFi Devboard module!
