Final Week: Call for Speakers 2024
Now is the time to get those talks in before April 15th!
Time is almost up our 2024 Call for Speakers so get them in while you still can! No decisions on any talks have been made yet as we’re waiting for all entries to be received before sorting through them to make decisions on selections.
Again, you can submit a single talk for multiple length time slots which will give you the greatest opportunity for selection. As we are a 2 day, single track conference time slots are limited. We have room for probably 4 Full Sessions (45 - 60 minutes), 8-10 Intermediate (20-30 minutes) and 12-18 Lightning Talks (5-10 minutes) with several factors accounting for the possible variance as we finalize the schedule.
As of the moment that this post was written, here are the total submissions for each length:
Full Session - 89 talks competing for 4 spots
Intermediate - 89 talks competing for 8-10 spots
Lightning Talk - 31 talks competing for 12-18 spots
Based on current submissions your odds are highest for Lightning Talks and lowest for Full Sessions, which is why it’s extremely important to narrow the field.
Be prepared to check your email over the 2 weeks which follow the close as we may reach out for clarification or additional details. Those messages will come from “events.sessionize.com” if you’d like to set an email rule for them. Last year, there were some people who weren’t seeing communications from Sessionize.
