We put together some simple resources to make it easier for you
In 2024 we visited a lot of meetup groups and tech communities in the South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee area to help reach our goal of bringing together the tech communities in this region every year. We made a lot of progress spreading the word and you can read more about the reasons in the original post below.
There are a lot of groups and communities out there though and it’s not possible to get to all of them directly, so we need your help!
Here are a few simple options to help get the word out in your communities or events over the next year.
Download the graphic above and include it in one of your presentations or just on a screen during the event. If you need a higher resolution graphic, just ask.
Play this short YouTube video for your group. It’s about 3 minutes long. We quietly tried this at a couple of meetup groups last year and it worked out pretty well. The linked video is what was used for 2024, but we’ll make an updated version for 2025 soon.
Invite me to come talk to your group. Book a quick 15 minute spot on my calendar and we can see if there’s a time that works either in person or via Zoom.
Volunteer to talk to groups for the conference yourself! Visiting all of these meetup groups is a lot of fun and we’ll be happy to send you out to do it. Feel free to share your own experiences or book a time with me if you have questions or would like some pointers.
Get some stickers to hand out. We have a lot…like thousands. Reach out and let me know if you want some to pass out and I’ll be happy to mail them to you.
Spend a few minutes at your meetup group doing the Lyrical Code Challenge to help make our 2025 t-shirt in your favorite language!
