About the Carolina Code Conference

The Carolina Code Conference is a welcoming and community-driven “polyglot” and cyber-security conference that’s set to return on August 14th and 15th, 2026 (Friday-Saturday) at Flywheel Coworking in Greenville, SC. This conference invites coders of all experience levels to attend, plug into the development community, share their experiences and have a great time as well.

Single Track

We feature about 30 speakers every year, on a single stage, over 2 days. Everyone speaker who is selected will get to address the entire approximately 300 person conference audience. No worries about winning your time slot once selected!

Attendees get the benefit of commonality as they make new connections as well, because you’ve all seen the same talks and have the same point of reference. It’s a great conversation starter!

Social Evenings

Thursday night before the conference starts we open with a welcome event at GatherGVL for everyone coming into town. Friday night, we typically have a big night out at New Realm Brewing thanks to our platinum sponsors, like Fly.io and Vonage. Sometimes we just enjoy beautiful downtown Greenville, visit an escape room or play games at OpenWorks. Saturday after the conference, we all wind down at Fireforge Crafted Beer with all of our new friends.

It’s always a good time to make connections that will last a lifetime.

Honoring Our Sponsors

This event would not be possible without the gracious support of Our Sponsors over the years. Please give them a visit and thanks!

Meetup of Meetups

We go out of our way to connect the tech communities in South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia and we’ve even made a special invitation for meetup groups in those areas (and more!). Read the invitation for more details!

Lyrical Code T-shirt

How do you make a t-shirt for a polyglot conference? We crowd source it. Every year, anyone can contribute to our Lyrical Code Challenge on Github. We take a song that conference attendees voted on, then you submit the lyrics to that song written as code in your favorite programming language. Then we take lyrics from different languages to make a polyglot t-shirt that you can’t help but sing while you read!

So far we have done…

  1. Don’t Stop Believing - Journey

  2. Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen

  3. All Star - Smash Mouth

  4. Never Gonna Give You Up - Rick Astley (coming soon with your help!)

Please subscribe so that we can track interest and keep you updated for 2023 and beyond!
